Senior Financial Accountant
This is a really exciting opportunity for a strong and dynamic Financial Accountant who has excellent knowledge of SAP by Design (or SAP user).
The role is seeking a Financial Accountant professional that is used to working in a Company with multi sites and you will be involved in all aspects of financial accounting including gaining of information from sites across the UK and who will oversee the Payroll function (the information given to the payroll bureau) and support the Company in the roll out of the new ERP system.
It is a demanding job and whilst it will not initially start with the management of personnel, the role will grow and develop as new companies are acquired!
The job purpose:
You will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial statements, managing the tax payments, forecasting costs and revenues and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
What you will be doing within this role:
Month-end and year-end close processes.
Gather and monitor financial data (e.g., sales revenues and liabilities)
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements)
Organisation of internal audits and support external audits
Act as the Financial Accounting expert in the implementation of SAP by Design
Support the Financial Controller in the preparation and submission of all statutory reporting for the group.
The preparation of budgets and monitoring of spend
Forecasting costs and revenues and perform variance analysis.
Manage corporation tax payments and liaise with tax authorities.
Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments.
Analyse financial trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
Oversee payroll processes and any interaction with HMRC.
Ensure full legal and internal company compliance on all accounting transactions.
What you need to gain this role!
You will be an experienced Financial Accountant
You will have used SAP as your ERP system
Experience of accounting across multi sites
Able to work from the H/O function just outside of Sheffield - Opportunity for hybrid - 2 days home and 3 days office.
Strong reporting skills
Excellent reconciliation work
